Every child deserves safety, stability, and a place to belong, and every church has a role in making that possible.

At Unite, recruitment is about helping mobilize the local church to step into the needs of

foster care with open hearts and willing hands.

Across our communities, children are entering foster care every day, often carrying

trauma, loss, and uncertainty. At the same time, God continues to call His people to step into hard places with compassion, courage, and hope.

Recruitment is about more than finding foster families. It is about awakening the church to its biblical responsibility to care for vulnerable children and families. Scripture reminds us in James 1:27, “Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God means caring for orphans in their distress.”

Our desire is to help churches prayerfully consider how God may be calling them to

serve children and families impacted by foster care.

The need is great, but so is the capacity of the church when God’s people respond

together.

Why Foster?

In addition to our video series featuring Louisiana foster families, Unite also hosts different events and visits local churches to educate audiences on the ways they can connect and help. Learn more about that work and how to plug in your church here.
